Eminent Brahmo visionaries envisioned that girls/women should be given the facilities of vocational training, and an institution was born under Brahmo Balika Shiksalaya about one hundred and ten years ago. This was an eye opener to the whole of India. Following this, other institutes came into being. The institute has been able to train hundreds of young women who have distinguished themselves as Primary Teachers, who have nurtured the qualities of young pupils-who in turn have served the nation in various areas and thus helped in the nation’s prosperity.
